Has anyone got a corse I build manual I could either borrow or buy to see what I'm getting myself into. I'm in Leyland, Lancashire but I don't mind an hours drive or so if it's for a good cause.
It would be a good oppertunity to view someone's example of the Corse (possibly) and make some comparrisons as I've already checked out Guy Mayers's fantastic example of the Hawk.

Cheers, I would be extremely greatful.

Roy,
I have a manual you can have a look at, and I'm in Cheshire. Not too far a run out I guess. But can I make a suggestion? Abingdon is not too far in the future now, and if you could make it down there you will see many excellent examples of all the Stratos reps. and be able to ask all the questions you like.

Hi John,
you mentioned Abingdon - when is that planned mate as thats not too far for me and i would come to that if i'm in the country (hols, footy tour etc). Do you know which club members are proposing to show (take it it's a show - ignore my woeful ignorance).

Hi guys,

I'll be at Abingdon on the Saturday in my Corse (the Olio Fiat one) if thats of any use to you. :)
You're obviously welcome to come over, say hello and have a poke around.
See you there.

No show as such Steve but usually one of the largest gatherings of Stratos replicas in the country.
Abingdon motorCarnival is a motorsport event with a double header sprint on the Sat then a 90 mile tarmac rally on the sunday. There are usually 6 - 8 Strotos taking part in the sprint and there has been up to 5 do the rally. A large number of others arrive on Sat as support. The last few years the SEC have had their AGM on the Sat night at a local hotel however I think this year that's not going to happen. A great event for meeting a lot of the regulars from this forum, I am gutted I wont make it yet again as my car is not quite there yet. Been twice, competed once and had a ball. Many thanks to Dave Watson yet again for being the driving force behind this wonderful motorsport event.
If I remember correctly there was 26 Stratos the first year I attended including 2 real ones.
cheers
Stephen

Thanks John, I'll have to pop down to Cheshire, I can't make Abingdon. I'm going away on Wednesday for a week so I'll give you a shout when I get back to arrange something.

Cheers for that John.

Roy,

I'm a bit stuck at the moment with the day job, but should be back home end June, maybe early July. Also Cheshire, not far from John, so you could see two there, no probs. Mind, Leyland's no so far for a quick run in the beast.
I'll try to remember when I get home, but you won't be top of my list for couple of days. Can't afford the running shoes in any case.

Cheers Arthur, I'm in no hurry really so I might as well hang on till your back like you say. You can't view too many Stratos's.

Roy,

May take a little while longer; might get to the 2nd or 3rd week July. I'm currently circumnavigating Oz in a tanker. Dampier next weekend, South Korea 10 days later, then maybe a week after that I'll be heading home for while. I'll keep an eye on the forum and we can arrange venue whenever.

Arthur.

Roy, John

I'm free 26th at the moment, so I'll work to keep it that way! Give me a bell when you're ready.
Roy, If you come to my place, I'll give you a spin up to John's in the motor. It will all make a bit more sense after that!
