I hear that Toyo 888’s are good tyres for sprinting but I have been offered some Kumo V70’s at a much cheaper price. Is it because they are not very good or is my luck in ?
Please advise.
Thank's, Alan.

They are good and as a plus are available in hard/med/soft compounds - I use them for circuit racing hard rears, med fronts, but will be lucky to complete a season on one set.

Sorry - it was the Kumho K70s - I use 225/50/15 (hard) rears, 205/50/15 (medium) fronts. However this is for circuit racing not sprints or hill climbs - for the shorter events you might want to consider softer compounds but they wouldnt last long in circuit racing.

Oh that is good news. I have been quoted £240 the set (same sizes as you quote) but not sure if there is a choice of hardness for me. I'll see.
p.s. Hope to see you at Castle Combe later this month.
Alan.

The catch – they only have very limited stocks & I have bought 66% of them. New orders will be much more expensive.
Roger, you have PM
