I am finishing my fuel system.

* I bought a red top facet pump to fill up my swirl pot. Does this pump have to be pre filtered ( it says so on a sticker on the pump itself ) or is the filter in the pump enough?
* Which tank shouls i connect the pump to or mybe both ( i have a 20mm balance pipe between the two tanks) ?
* I want to install a safety switch to cut of the feed to the pumps when there is no oil pressure , where could i fit it on the engine?

Put a filter before the pump

feed that pump from a 't' in the balance pipe. Make sure it can provide enough flow.

If you are fitting an oil cooler, then insert a pressure switch in one of the oil lines coming from the take off plate. Fit a remote filter head at the same time, lot easier to get to, thermostat as well. I think any info for this sort of thing is available on think automotive's website, it definitely is in the catalogue. Rubber mount your pump mounting bracket or the sound may be like a dentists drill

check your fuel hose too, a lot of what is 'claimed' to be suitable for fuel injection can perish.

Pimm, are you going to fit some protection under the fuel components? I worry about a stone or something damaging a pressurised fuel pipe / filter when they are mounted so low. Spraying fuel around the front exhaust manifold could lead to a sub-optimal outcome.

Yes Chris I was planning to put some protection underneath, and mayby also between engine and pumps!
