Hi, is anyone out there breaking a 164 and not using the fuel pump? I'd like to add one (or two!) to my stash of spare parts so that I can try to get the Stratos up and running in the next couple of weeks ready for Summer! It currently won't start, I have sparks at the plugs but no firing. Suspicion falls on the cold start sensor, airflow meter or iffy fuel pump/injectors. It's easy enough to remove from the Alfa, there is a round inspection cover in the floor of the boot that , once removed, reveals the top of the fuel tank and a removable cover under which is the fuel pump within a swirl pot asssembly. It is possible to install the whole thing in a Stratos tank with some work but most people don't bother cuting a perfectly good tank open to install it. I just wanted a little extra space in the engine bay and less chance of vapourisation. Anyway, if you've got one, please drop me a line and let me know how much etc!
