All,
Has anyone used the Alfa Handbrake? And if so did anyone make note of the cable length that is required.

I have, in a Corse I.
This kit uses Ford Scorp standard calipers, and as far as I'm aware, the cable is the matching Ford part number (unknown, sorry).
The guy to ask is John Davidson on this site, or direct to Napiersport.
I believe the 164 handbrake assembly has been sited to match the cable (in fact John came round and measured the dimensions on mine to check the Napiersport tooling).
NOTE - if you use the 164 handbrake lever, you may want to re-peen the lever rivet before fitting. I've just had to do mine, and it's a bitch of a job in the finished car.
The lever assembly rivet gets loose in service, to the point at which the lever leans over under load, and the ratchet pawl is dragged sideways out of the quadrant. Symptom is lots of handbrake, then suddenly none as the lever drops away.
It's just a case of hammering the rivet head over til it's all tight again. No probs when you know.

I did not use the Alfa 164 handbrake lever, but i did use the old alfa 164 cable and cut it to lenghth that suited me fine on my Hawk. This cable will go to a cable manufacturer to use as example fot the new one.
I use a Lancia Beta handbrake lever which uses exactly the same round wheel to run the cable over as the 164 has ( see pic ). The lever fits Hawk pre drilled holes perfectly, i only have to make the rod to the right length.

Both,
Thanks very much for the feedback, I had had another look this weekend and can't see too many problems. I'll check the lever pin pin tonight and then its off to Speedy Cables for adjustment.
I'll make another post hopefully with some pictures when I am done
