Dave were you at the NEC on Friday?
Thought I saw you at the far end near the Jenvie stand, but you did a Lord Lucan by the time I'd got there.

Was the person you saw, wearing a Black Stratos Polo Shirt, and a Black Stratos Fleece? If so, the answer is yes.

I managed a flying three hour visit friday pm. The only stratos representation I saw was models and prints. Bought a nice print for a tenner off a guy called Nik Curry, the car featured is car 1 San Remo (14th) in Alitalia livery and with registration N41648-TO. Does anybody know if this information is accurate and who the crew might be- I assumed it must be Munari.
The print is bigger than A3 size so I can't scan it for you but it is available from the guy at 28 Eastholme Drive, Clifton, York. Tel. 01904 638276.
I was looking at components for my build, as I am a little out of touch with who is making what these days. Anybody else see anything interesting and relevant to Stratii?

I was at the show on Friday too, shame I didn't meet any of you there at the time.

Dave - I tried calling your mobile in case you were at the NEC, but got no answer.

I also picked up a copy of the Stratos print for a tenner. There were also plenty of the Stratos models around for ten pounds each, which cost about 25/30 pounds last year at other shows.

That would be the mobile number that was on my missed call list then.

Georgina rang me as I was driving up, and after finishing the call, I put the phone down on the passenger seat, and forgot to pick it up when I got to NEC.

I had 5 missed calls when I got back to the car.

Sounds like we should have had a Stratos Convention up there - maybe next year.

Yep, that'll be me then!

Lucky that no-one took the opportunity to help themselves to it in the car park then - with the added cost of a new window.

I knew I should have started a topic in the forum about the show - before going along. As you say, maybe next year :)

I missed the print but did buy a couple of Vitesse models for a tenner each - too good to miss.

I was trying Bums in seats but the one I wanted to sit in I couldn't find- (Sparco Evo, the Rev was a bit tight for my fat ass)

TAS were conspicuous by their absence, pity cos they do a really good shaped ally gear knob I was after too.

A cheap day afterall !

There are copies of this print available on eBat at the moment:

While looking through my latest ebay purchase, (ProfilI Lancia Stratos) I came across two photo's of N41648 TO.
On page 36 there is a shot of Munari-Maiga during the '76 Monte Carlo Rally. The car is shown with the #1.
But on page 46 the same car is shown in the '76 San Martino di Castrozza Rally with Pregliasco & Reisoli and it now wears the #5.
I have read that the cars were shared back and forth. One would be designated as Munari's primary and another his secondary.
I'd say it's a safe bet that with the #1 it's suppose to be Munari at the wheel. But it's an artist's rendition. So, who knows how much fantasy he put into it.
Also, anyone have an email address for this Nik Curry. I'd like to get a couple of his prints and I might get a better deal if I buy direct from the artist rather then through ebay.
By the way, this is the 3 vol. set I bought.

He won't budge on his prices and he'll only sell through ebay. But if your interested and can't find these locally, I know he has several more copies.

I see that the Nik Curry print is listed on eBay again, at a lower price this time

Nik Curry di d not have an e-mail address on his business card, so ebay might be the best way to get hold of a print. If not e-mail me and I'll try to get one sent over to you Stephenos, it's certainly a nice print. Thanks for the feedback on the car, the same one is featured on the cover for the Revell kit box in Monte livery(1977).
