Has anybody got a spare small guage that has a perfect black bezel? The only one i have is marked. don't really want to paint one because it may not be the same shade as the rest.

You can have one of my spares John boy.
I wrapped them up when I got them as they were all good condition. Should have a clock amongst them that will be good for the bezel, its no use to me.

.....payment for use of the lathe! :)

Pim,

I'm not sure about other peoples methods but i have either used a small screwdriver at an acute angle to gently 'flex' up the small flange on the back of the bezel. When i canibalised the 124 rev counter and speedo for the bezel and innards, i carefully cut the instrument casing all the way round, about 5mm from yhe bezel/front, carefully split the last bit of white plastic and pulled it out. This still leaves the bezel needing the little flange bending up. I used a pair of small long nosed pliers. Take your time doing it, moving around the circumference, only bending it up half way, then go round it again, bending it up a bit further.

Bobster,

The clock bezels have a notch for the buttun on the front. I already have one but can't use it for that reason.
