Hi Guys,
I just thought I'd post a reply to say that I've been along to see the kit in progress and the work that the two guys from TVR have done, and I've actually put down my deposit on one of the first kits when they are completed. The prototype car is really looking good and I must admit I also like the fact that it's a "bolt-on" bodykit to the standard beta montecarlo as I'm guessing that is going to help when it comes round to insurance.
Cheers,
Chris

Hi Chris.
" also like the fact that it's a "bolt-on" bodykit to the standard beta montecarlo as I'm guessing that is going to help when it comes round to insurance."
That may not be thae case. Insurance on kit cars is generally cheaper than that of a modified 'conventional' car.
Cheers

I know it's not a replica in the same way as a Stratos replica. That is, with a spaceframe and big original type opening body sections, but I'm all for it.
It'll probably save some Montes and do a little bit to keep the Monte movement and the excellent Monte Hospital going strong?
Maybe the big hinging body sections could follow, once this is up and running? Then people could make their own cente tub space frame version? Would that have to have a north south engine to be credible?
Anyhow, this current one is as much as most people would want to take on, it looks right and as has already been mentioned, there's no need for SVA. It should be a winner?
If I had one, I'd keep it badged as a Montecarlo, then you can't be accused of trying to pass it off as an 037. There have been Montes with bodykits before, after all?, but non that look as good as this? I know this is much much more than the usual body kit!

£ 850 for a dead montecarlo rust bucket. I'd consider it for a hundred quid MAX.
