Fan switch

Wanted rocker switch with fan logo. I was quoted a crazy price by the Monte Hospital for a switch which I believe contained a rheostat, do I need one of these or is the switch fitted to most cars far simpler, excuse my ignorance on these matters as auto electrics is not my forte
