Something else described in Classic Cars magazine is an upcoming event organised by the 'GT Organisation' (aka GTO), which is a road rally-style event for road cars of 'vintage, classic and modern eras'.

This is the Motoring Heritage Sports Tour and it is due to take place on the weekend of 15th February, based around a Brooklands meeting that same weekend.

Just a thought, anyone out there fancy going along on this (with a Stratos or any other car)?

The cost is £99 and includes tulip-style route navigation from a choice of start locations, including Goodwood on one of the routes. There are some other options available, including extra Track Sessions (at Brooklands).

Details are under the 'events' link of their web site, at www.gtorganisation.com

It's almost New Year, but my one and only resolution for 2003 will be to use my car more! That includes a return to circuit racing (in the old car, at least), but some other activities such as this might be a nice idea, especially if other Stratisti (fans?) would like to join in.

So, what's the thought on this, or similar, occasions?

This sounds just the sort of event I will be looking to enter when I'm up and running, Plus a few continental runs etc. Pesonally I love forest rallying ( in Mid Wales ) but I also know this would be very expencive in a fiberglass car as the gravel would eat it away. But there are several Rallys over the Epynt Ranges that would suit the Stratos. Makes me all tingly thinking of it.

Happy new year all

At some point i would love to take part in such an event.
My wife and i take part in navigational road rallies and this would be right up our street. I need to plan a good bit ahead though so 2004 would be more realistic.
Is any one interested in organizing a trip to the Nurburgring for the group? ( dont think i have spelt it right but you all should know what i mean) again I would think a 9 to 12 month period of notice would be useful for most people to sort out holidays, money etc.
Interested to hear all suggestions on events for our cars.
