Hi all,

I can't identify the water drain plugs on the cylinder block. Are there two, one for each side of the V, and if so where are they?

Can anybody point me in the right direction? The manual doesn't mention it as far as I can tell and the parts manual has so many plugs to choose from!

As I recall, there is only one brass plug on the rear of the block just above the oil filter.

Thanks David. I'll look for it (if that's possible while installed on a 164!) :)

Turns out there are two drain points - plugs with 22mm hex heads.

One is as David has said, above the oil filter that will be a pig to reach with the engine in the 164. Expect the exh. manifold to obtruct access too.

Front plug will be in a similar position on the other side of the block with, I expect, similar but slightly easier access. Haven't actually seen either of them "in the flesh" yet.
