My Corse I has always made intermittent clunking noises from the rear at low speeds and low throttle openings. There are two slight different sounds and I suspect it might be the driveshafts sliding sideways and hitting the hubs.
Other Fiat products of the era (OK, Fiat 500 to be exact) had springs inside the driveshafts at the hub end to keep them in place.
Does anyone else have a similar noise (or are we all too busy going fast to hear it?)
