hello folks
Im tempted to say my house as a venue need to speak to herself of course if partners are coming probably best a venue in town,i will have a think about best mixture of atmosphere and flexibility of layout for chatting.
Alternatively if partners not coming, knockhill and after would make a good day for the blokes.
(hope I have a car back by then ..)
I will have a look at the diary
Gary :)

Thats ok for you with a running car :(
I am happy to go with the flow, That's a generous offer Garry.
Her Indoors has been very good about the time and money my still non running Strat rep has cost so I do like to include her in the more social side if possible :) But if its not < well too bad :D

Hello again
I have plans along with some folks from work for a private track day february/ march at knock hill .The cost is about £1200 between probably 10 -20 cars and I would hope that we would make this up with a good presence of stratos cars but other types would be entirely welcolme we would try and match the performance if possible. It is easier than you think and very safe for the car especially if everyone knows each other in the group.
I will get a date fixed as soon as possible.
For the Christmas meet I would suggest le petit folie in town or the Dalhousie castle orangery restaurant near Bonnyrigg. Easy access from the bypass
I imagine everyone has many dates fixed but I would be free 8,9,10 and 22 December to get the ball rolling i
if we can get a group to agree a date I will book the restaurant.
Gary :)

Hi Gary,
possibility of making 22nd Dec in either of the 2 venues you suggest, but need to confirm soon before the wife fixes me up with another family activity!!!
Would also be interested in the track day, but will need to know the date ASAP so I can book the time off. (Yes, even if it's at a weekend...) Would bring along club trailer, easy-up, tables and chairs, etc. if it encourages other Stratclub members to come...
Speak to you soon.
Regards,
Nico/

Hello again
I propose defering the Christmas meet until later in the new year as only 2 or 3 people could make the 22 December however :D
I have booked knockhill for a private track evening on Monday 16 April 2007.
The total cost is 1400 plus vat so we would be looking at 75 pounds perperson for a 20 person turnout .
I would plan to take the day off and go out about 2 pm for a get together
enrollment is at 5 -6 first cars on at 6 pm until 8 pm then for a pint after .
It would be predominately for stratos owners plus a few pals from
work who have committed already .
I have 6 names so far .
For anyone who has not been on a track day it is very easy there is very little danger to the cars .
I have also asked Colin hoad from CAT driver training to come and give a taster for his performance driving courses .I have been with him for three days at Millbrooke proving ground and Bruntingthorpe and I now at least know what I should be doing even if I cant yet do it !
sorry there were no half days at weekends and all Friday nights where taken
hope to meet up in April if not before then :)

Gary
Put me down for the track day but will be coming in my Grp4 Escort if thats OK give you some sideways action.
We are organising a Rally Time Trial next Friday 29th Dec at Kames Motorsport Complex Muirkirk not far off the M74 should be good fun only £70 for 12 stages, you do need a RAC Competition License to compete.
I'm also organising a Forest Test Day in early January if anybody fancies a ride in the passenger seat of the Mk1 Escort should be great fun with 249BHP going through the rear wheels, Forest in the South West Of Scotland.
PS
Bring your Strat along if it is Forest Spec and have a go.
