Has anyone got the handbrake pulley wheels and support from a Fiat X1/9 ?

On the same subject, does anyone know if a Montecarlo uses pulley wheels on the handbrake cable in the same way as an X1/9 ?

Chris, pic below is from Montecarlo parts book. I think the book is for the Mk1. Don't know about the Mk2.

The cable is not two pices but a single cable that goes right around the "horseshoe". No pulley wheel I'm afraid.

Thanks Peter.

That clears that up then? I think I'll use a combination of the two/three. X1/9 pulley wheels, Monte cable and Beta horseshoe!

This'll be good, because the cable will only bend in one arc instead of going through an 'S' bend.

There's one thing that has come to my mind with fitting a handbrake cable. The lever end stop for the outer cable ends. One of of them is further away from the caliper (the driver's side). The Hawk build manual says to reduce the Beta outer by 3.5" each side (equal amounts). I suppose if there's ample it won't matter about the lever offset?

I think I've found someone who has some X1/9 parts that I can use now. Thanks.
