I found a magazine lying around the hospital yesterday that I hadn't heard of before - Racecar Engineering. magazine website (www.racecar-engineering.com) Anybody else discovered it?
Fascinating articles on various engineering aspects. Think I might subscribe. It says in the small print "incorporating Cars & Car Conversions and Rallysport" I had wondered if Track & Race Cars had evolved out of the CCC ashes, but obviously not.

Racecar engineering has been a very good read in the past but was difficult to find in the shops. Couldn't be arsed to take out a subscription :rolleyes:

Hi,

(I found this site via Pistonheads!, I work on Kit~Car Magazine).
I used to work on CCC and Rally Sport Magazine many moons ago, Race Car Engineering has always been around but was aimed at trying to be a Business to Business title (circulated to the Motorsport industry) rather then a consumer magazine and so was'nt widely available to the "masses".

I wonder if Tony Tobias still works on the magazine, he originally helped establish CCC all those years ago! Steve Bennett and Mark Hales went of to work on Circuit Driver and now Steve is at the helm of a Porsche Magazine. How times change...

Hi Tom,

I noticed that Bennett is editor of a Porker mag too.

TRC has the same style (cover) as CCC, but I don't think anything has the same level of interest as the earlier Rally Sport and CCC magazines from 'when I was a lad'.

But that doesn't keep the magazines going, with the Crap Power types these days.

Yep, there seems to be around 3 mags trying to get a lions share of a very small readership, TRC, PPC & Retro Cars have a similar feel to what was availble in CCC.
