I cant believe that you think a video diary of a 'Corse' replica being built would be interesting. I mean, nothing about the car is original is it ?????

Oh, by the way, its my car. :D :D :D :D

Mick ;)

Hey, I'm stuck with originality when it comes to originals ;)

And I'm stuck here because I love the Stratos so much and there's no better place to talk about it :)

I noticed the hub carriers, they look very cool and well made. The Stratos has a lot of common points, suspension-wise, with the GT40. The Corse hub carriers look a bit like the GT40 ones.

Point taken and wholeheartedly agreed.
Regarding the alloy hub carriers, I dont know the origin or design brief, maybe John could shed more light on that one. What I do know is that not only did they make the build very straightforward with regard to using Alfa Hubs, brakes, calipers etc. but it is also very easily and quickly adjusted in every attitude.
Great fun on and off track too. :D

Mick

Which John might know more about the uprights?

They look very similar to LM3000/Prosport and also a GT40 replica (not sure which make) that I have seen.

Do you have some shots of the uprights before they went on the car??

Thanks

Martin

I've just seen Stuart Foster's new Pirelli car:

The uprights were designed by Steve Greenwood specifically for the Corse. Steve of course was a very experienced engineer even when he did that design work "all those years ago"! So if they resemble GT40 or whatever then there would be no suprise as I suppose he worked on a lot of exotic stuff beforehand.
Stuart's car looks absolutely great does it not? Can't wait to see it in the flesh.
Being so far north I did not see quite so much of that being built as I did with Mick's car and despite there being a few hiccups along the way as Stuarts was the first kit we had done under the Napiersport banner he has done a very quick nice looking build.
Well done Stuart!

That's funny, last week I was reliably informed by someone that had seen it that Stuart's car was red, white & green!! :o

Chris,
from the picture it looks like Stuart found a gateway in his hedge before he went through it.... ;)
