Hello. I am new to this forum. My name is Michael and I love Italian cars. I am researching the cost and build time, etc.. of a Stratos replica, or possibly a GT40 replica. I am also considering purchasing a GTV6 because they're very affordable and have great tuning potential, but of course I would rather have a mid-engined car like the Stratos with the Alfa V6 in it. So since I don't already own a Stratos replica I may not be able to contribute to this forum as much as other people, but I will try my best. All responses and suggestions in the future are greatly appreciated.
Thank You

If you search through the archive here, this has been covered in the recent past.
Best wishes

Mmmm, Stratos or GT40 replica. Does this mean you've got a pair of Fiat 850 rear lights that you want to put to good use??? ;)

Michael,
Since you're located in Detroit, I thought I'd let you know about a couple of other Stratos enthusiasts in the area.
John Lagerquist and Steve Stahn are both in your neck of the woods. John is in Commerce, MI, and is also still saving up for the purchase of a Stratos. Steve is in Sterling Heights, and has a finished Hawk HF2000.
I used to travel to Detroit regularly on business, but I don't seem to make it out there very often anymore. I try to get together with John whenever I am in town. I may be out there next week for a meeting, and I'm sure you're welcome to join us... assuming that my trip doesn't get cancelled again.
If you want to contact John, you can send him a message on this forum. His ID is x19er.
Good luck in your research. I hope we have the chance to meet sometime.

Thanks everyone! I'll email you soon Jeff. And Scott, the funny thing is, is that I actually live in Commerce, I just put down Detroit because Commerce is a little unknown Detroit suburb. Now its time to search the archives.

Michael,
Still waiting to hear from you for Strat stuff.javascript:smilie(':)')
smile
Also, you mentioned you can't wait for Alfa to get back to the States. Seeing the trouble that Fiat SPa is in , that might not happen. Even heard that Fiat is completly dropping the Lanci brand. Who knows if GM will excersize it's buy option. 8000 layoffs, Ferrari workers on strike....it's all going to hell.javascript:smilie('')
mad
any way, if you do really really want an Alfa now, AutoDelta USA can oblige, but for the money they're asking and the state of affairs in Italy and lack of dealer support....well I'd stick with GMjavascript:smilie(';)')
