After the fun and games with all the electrical gremlins, (front fogs that come on anytime, the winking headlights, plus a few other choice problems) My Hawk V6 Stradale passed its MOT with flying colours.

Next week (after payday) its Road Tax time :-(

Then off to Reading to the DVLA to change the reg. number.

Then I want to have the interior re-trimmed - anyone know of a somewhere that will do the carpets, door cards and rear bulkhead - and possibly the boot? Reasonbly local to Staines M25/M3 junction if possible.

I used someone out in Little Bookham in Surrey just off A3 for my Beta retrimming but I cant remember thier name (no paperwork as was a cash job - funnily enough!)

Matt,

There is a chap based at Fairoaks Airport near Chertsey - sorry can't remember his name - they did Ken Tomblin's car, very good quality at reasonable cost. Drop Ken a PM.

Cheers,
Chris

I think that Gerry (Hawkridge) uses someone in the Surrey area; he would probably give you his details and maybe an indication of his prices.

But Ken's car would be a plenty good enough recommendation and Chertsey is in the right area for you.

I know that a chap called Dave Roake did the trimming on both Terry Bunn's and Denys Jones' cars (and probably a couple of others?).

I've got two very old phone numbers given to me by Terry Bunn from way back (1997)

0932 880121 (01932 880121) and
0932 240790 (01923 240790) I'm presuming with the inclusion of the (1) in the code?

Thanks Ken, I tried the guys that I had used for me Beta Coupe restoration and unfortunately they have retired and thier building knocked down for flats to be built instead.

Off to Fairoaks to speak to Mike as soon as my diary permits.
Cheers,
