Has anybody got a steering wheel hub spare? 74mm PCD for Fiat X1/9 splines.
Thanks

Guy,
I'm looking for the same thing. I've seen this (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Boss-Hub-Kit-Fiat-126-127-147-Fiorino-Panda-Seat-131-et_W0QQitemZ180016435759QQihZ008QQcategoryZ40195QQ tcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem) on eBay but I'm unsure if it'll fit. I've asked the seller the question but never got a reply!! Any ideas?

Hi Allen, that's a Momo fit and has a smaller PCD pattern. A standard Fiat 124 Spider hub fits Momo and looks good but I need something between Momo and Mountney (100mm on the one sent to me) so I'm still looking.
I ordered one from these guys as the pattern has two different PCDs and they said one was right for me and they could get Fiat x1/9 (or similar) but after waiting a month they ended up refunding the cash (I hope - should be on next months statement?) So, back to square one! I'll have a look around Harrogate this weekend and speak to Gerry but I'm struggling!

I have now found a supplier that lists an X1.9 variant so I may be a little closer! Wait and see!

I've got a 74mm hub, but I want a 70mm one. It fits the 124 column though. Do X1/9s and 124s have the same splines?
It's a cast solid one, not one of those collapsable safety types that you get these days.

My steering wheel didn't fit the x 1/9 boss so a friend of mine took some material of with a lathe ( turning bench ? ) then fitted the wheel turned it a bit too mark for the new holes, drilled the holes and then threaded ( :o suppose thats not the correct word ) them.

Do the Ferrero wheels (like the one in your photo) fit the 74mm pcd?

The word lathe is fine and there's nothing wrong with your English, Pim.

My Ferrero wheel has a PCD in between the Momo and Nardi bolt circles. I have a Jet hub adapter with both, and neither one fits.

Scott,
Are Nardi wheels 74mm PCD?

I'd have to check to be sure, but I think Momo is 74mm, Nardi/Personal is 76mm, and the Ferrero is about 75mm. It's been a couple of years now since I last tried to put my Stratos wheel on one of my hub adapters. I'll measure it tonight when I get home.

I'm sure MOMO is 70mm Scott. The one I've got here is anyway? I know that a Ferrero is on a larger PCD than a MOMO, but wasn't sure by exactly how much.

Chris,
You're right. After measuring my adaptors, the Momo has a 70mm PCD. It was Nardi/Personal at 74mm, and Ferrero is right where I remembered it at about 75mm.
I say about 75 because it didn't quite line up with the marks on my scale. Didn't have anything more precise to check it with.

Thanks Scott. That confirms what I was thinking. It's funny how all the MOMOs have the bolt pattern shifted round 30 degrees?
Which Ferrero have you got? Is it the two spoke (like Pim's) or a four spoke Stratos Stradale hen's teeth type?

It's the four spoke Stradale wheel. Picked it up a few years ago (to a fair amount of ribbing for it being ugly  ) before everyone else started talking about a run of replica steering wheels.
Also, to answer another question you asked earlier in the thread - yes, Fiat 124 and X1/9 have the same steering wheel hub splines. Some folks over here in the States use 124 hubs as a cheap alternative to mount Momo wheels to their X1/9's and Lancia Montecarlo/Scorpions.
