We've just had an apparent belt slip on a 12V. Re-timed the engine with a new belt, and did a compression test tonight and only managed 7Bar (100psi) on number 2....all the rest were 0bar!

OK, the questions I hope you can help with are as follows:

1) What will be the likely damage, as I assume you guys have had this before?

2) What is the cost of buying new valves and having heads overhauled?

3) Does anyone know of a good 12V engine for sale, as I guess this may be a quicker and cheaper alternative.

Thanks in advance...........

Chuck it in the scrap pile and buy another or if you have a bit more luck someone will give you one.

Before you bin it, have you checked the valve pushrods?. I had a similair experience (only in the garage, and only for a few seconds and I got away with 3 bent rods. Good luck.
