Does anyone know where I can get hold of a the 'quirky' sparkplug tool for an ALFA 164 engine?

If so it can only be the socket wall thickness that is the problem. I have read somewhere that there is a special tool, but couldn't find the article again. The engine is an '89. Do you think the age might be a factor?
Anyone out there know

Got my plug tool from a donor 164, but before that, i bought a long reach (Draper i think?) plug socket from a local car shop, it measures 340mm in length and does the job fine. It is important that the socket and extension are one piece otherwise the the spark plug socket will detach from the extension bar on the plug seals :( , you then have another trip back to said car shop to get a decent pair of slim very long reach pliers - been there

No, but the number of valves might be!

You can get socket extensions that have a positive lock on the socket, so this doesn't happen. ;)
