All,

I am taking possession of a Hawk HF3000 in about 6 weeks or so. I know I am going to have loads of questions throughout the build process. Here are a couple to get you and me going.

After Market Brakes
Are there any that are recommended? Seems most of you are sticking with Alfa or Lancia kit. Regardless of after market of genuine manufacturer parts I want to buy new. So what are the preferred recommendations for front and back ?

Donor parts
Does anyone have a definitive list of the items I should take off of my donor 164 ?

Regards

Iain

Hi Iain,
Here's a list of the things I kept from my donor car:
engine and gearbox
engine wiring loom, coil, ecu
brake callipers and discs ( don't forget the front wheel spacers )
clutch master cilinder and slave cilinder
exhaust primarys, Lambda probe, cat convertor ( could not get the Lambda out :o )
red square door lights ( look a lot like the Stratos ones )
battery and cable ( does not fit the kits battery tray but an extra battery is always handy ;) )
gear shifter handle ( can be modified by Hawk to fit the kit I think, ( used a Beta handle myself )
Wheels and spare wheel ( as a temporary solution until I have the cash to buy the coffin spokes :D
I did not keep the ABS system but there are some who built it in a Hawk
I forgot to get the fuel pump out of the tank, don't know if its useable outside of the tank

Well thats about it I think, maybe someone else can correct me or make the list complete.

Hope this helps and good luck with your build :)

If you remove the wiring loom, it's a good source of colour coded wires and connectors.
