Ouch!
At least you got out safely Roger, I'm sure it could have been much, much worse, were you flat out?
...and do you need a clean set of overalls ;)
Hopefully all patched up for Donnington too?

Not flat out as it was wet, just a question of a bit too quick up the hill then going light over the crest where the circuit turns left, causing the spin.
Luckily my suit is dark coloured!

ouch Roger. Still, as Rob says, it could have been much worse.

Will you still be doing Donnington?

Cheers

Could not finish due to the broken front sectionlifting up due to air flow +/_ I did not know if there was any suspension damage. Luckily on further inspection most of the damage is to body work, the rad is slightly bent but doesnot leak, i'll be doing my best to be patched up for Donnington, but it might not look pretty.

On a different kind of bollocks moment, I was fitting a rear strut & hub assembly yesterday when it all fell from the bench & landed squarely on my big toe, no steel toe caps resulted in one black & blue but luckily not broken toe.Has anybody else suffered any injuries working on their beloved Stratos.

Multiple injuries from craft knives whilst trimming various parts. Scars to prove it!

Fell off the lift recently when I stood on something slippy! Scars to leg and a badly bruised shoulder...

Worst one was to the wallet... Ongoing!

Rutt the Foot II!! :D

Last weekend I changed all my springs for softer ones, and was about to take the car for a test run when I found a large pool of oil under the engine. Panic! It turned out that I'd pulled the nearside driveshaft out of the differential when I pulled the top of the strut out from under the top chassis rail, part emptying the transmission oil. I thought it was a bit difficult getting the topmount back in! All slid back into place with a tap on the innner CV joint. Phew!!
As for physical injuries, I think angle grinder cuts when not wearing gloves have been the worst- at least they don't bleed coz the disc cauterises as it removes tissue. :o

Havn't posted for a while, but thought that I'd mention recent incident..
Thearding pipes through centre tunnel, using bungy cord (with metal hooks at each end) to get pipes in right position to thread through.. all worked OK and so proud of installation that I simply unclipped one hook and forgot the mega tension I had the whole cord under.. Mega quick unwrap and final connection with right eybrow.. Nice big lump and black the following day.
Been at it 30 months now and hoping to have ready for spraying / re-assembly over this winter.
