Wanted one CV joint with the longer splines in servicable condition.
Either long splined Beta or 8v Delta Integrale will do. (see photo, thanks Pim!)

Chris,
I've got 2 Beta drive shafts that need the out CV's removing as I'm going down the 5 stud hub line. Are they serviceable? One's got very slight play, the other a little more so I'd say so  . They're yours if you'd like them.
I believe with the newer hub carriers with a circlip retention of the bearings, you can use a later Integrale CV joint (non ABS).
Regards,
Allen

Just found this site for CV's. Any good? Prices are keen.
New - http://www.azmotors.co.uk/index.php/cPath/16931_14466_14467_15447_15462
Recon - http://www.azmotors.co.uk/index.php/cPath/16931_14470_14471_15449_15463
They have a Delta 2.0 4WD non ABS listed. Will they fit?

Thanks for that Allen.
That's the one I thought would be the one to go for too. It's strange that some of them are listed as handed (LH and RH)?

Chris,
The price is extremely competitive and appears to include VAT! I was also looking for new inner CV's. Are the Beta inners used on any other models of car?

I chickened out on the AZ site when it got to the credit card details. I didn't look safe?? I might go back there yet?
The Beta inner joints? I think they're more like 'Lobro' joints (see monte hospital link). Like the ones in the Monte Hospital photo under the CVs section? My car's got a Honda engine, so I have'nt got the Alfa to Beta (or just Beta) type of inner joint.

I don't know what Montecarlos have for outer joints? I might ask. Someone on here will know in any case?

Chris,
I rang them on 01924 369000, they're up in Wakefield. Reasonably close to you?

Pretty darn sure the same as a Beta Chris. Certainly the same wheel bearings (had a couple fail).

Of course, you had a Monte?
The Monte Hospital only seem to list the inner type joint, but if they do supply an outer, I guess it'll be in the £75 to £100 range? I've asked, no reply yet.

Chris,
Montecarlos use the same CV joint for both inner and outer ends. Same model as on a Beta inner, I think. I have a set of Scorpion (US spec Montecarlo) shafts sitting on the floor of the garage, and they look identical to the inner end of the Hawk halfshafts I have on the shelf. I have not actually tried swapping CV joints to confirm that they're interchangeable, but I'm told that they are.

I've just read in a Montecarlo forum that. "I recently replaced an inner CV joint on my Montecarlo with one from a Delta".
Can any one confirm whether they are the same please?
Mogul_x reports. "Montecarlos use the same CV joint for both inner and outer ends. Same model as on a Beta inner."
So in theory this should mean that a Delta inner will fit a Beta inner. Any thoughts?

Thanks for that Scott. I still have'nt had anything back from the Monte Hospital regarding the outers.
Allen
Do you need to establish that Deltas use the same inners because Delta inners are listed at a good price somewhere (AZmotors?) or is there another reason? I've just noticed that they have an ebay shop. I've asked if they can actually supply the outers. No Lancia CVs (inners or outers) are listed on their ebay shop.

Chris,
AZ do trade on eBay but they only advertise Lancia's on their web site. (Link in earlier post)
Yes I'm attempting to identify whether Delta inners will fit Beta's 'cause they're listed on AZ's site @ £51.30, which sounds competitive.

I see what you mean now. The penny's dropped! Montecarlos have the flange like (Lobro?) inners AND outers, and this is why the Monte Hospital only list this one type of joint? See photos of examples on ebay:

I'm guessing a RWD car doesn't need the same kind of CV joint as a FWD car?
With our cars being designed around the FWD components, I doubt these type of CV are of any use?
