looking for a complete (working) 164 24v (or 12v clover) gearbox with bell housing, actuating lever and clutch cylinder with bracket if poss.
Would also like a clutch if anyone has one spare.
Need this to fit to my 12v 'cloverleaf' engine.
Also looking for a Bosch coil pack and the throttle position sensor from a 155 V6.
Please contact me with prices.
Many thanks
Tim

If you can tell me how to identify a 12v cloverleaf gearbox from a standard 12v gearbox I'll check the three spare gearboxes I have. (without opening them up!!!!)

Hi Matt, The 12v Cloverleaf box is essentially a 24v clutch.
I would be happy with eirther a 12v clover or 24v box.
Standard 12v boxes are not as strong ast the 24v and use a smaller clutch.
I have found a good, low mileage 24v box quite close to me, but it is £300.
Seems a little pricey to me though.
Cheers

Indeed. Most complete 164's go for not much more than that.
Then there is another £150 for a new clutch :(

Here's a 155 V6 and box:

'Don't know if it's of any use? It does say "gearbox available".

Hey Tim, I could do with the engine for my 155 I think.....and this would probably supply the other bits you need as well....and its not far from me. Fancy some sort of buy to split?

Hi Chris, I thought that the 155 an 156 gearboxes were not suitable for use with a 164 engine.

The V6 block is basically the same but I couldn't say for sure.
