Nice one Chris. So you're on the last 'bits' finally. ;) Just one observation, your mudflap length. Are you planning to tie them up?
I set mine that low and on my first journey, I found that reversing into my drive, even though the kerb is lowered, I trapped the mudflap under the wheel. I've since trimmed another 1" off and all is well. :D
Cant be long now for the 'maiden trip'

Looks great Chris,
Not long now then, hopefully you'll get a break in the weather to give it some stick round the lovely Scottish roads soon.

Good news Chris well done...........
Is your paint scheme similar to the Publimmo car ??

It was going to be the Publimmo, but when I saw the quality of the red & white that the paintshop had done, I reckoned I would only Foul ;) it up adding the orange and yellow, so I just added the black (apart from the bit on the rear of the rear spoiler) and left it at that.
Can't get my MOT done until a week on Tuesday. Bollox!

Chris,
Were you originally planning on painting those colors yourself? What about having them done as decals along with the rest of the sponsor graphics?

Yes, I've even got the paint! I've thought about doing them with stick on, and I might still do it, but at the moment it looks pretty damn fine as it is! :)

Can't make Abingdon, but Stoneleigh is a possibility.
Just reversed out of the garage and back in to get at the other side - feels like I've pulled a muscle in my left calf working the clutch - some room for improvement there I fear - more work!

Just remembered another reason why I didn't do the orange/yellow. I'm a Stradale body, and there isn't really room on the rear "arches" to do the two colours, and it wouldn't look right on just the front.

Did you ever sell your minilites Chris

Yes, the went to Guy Morenhout who's building the replica of the Polish Stratos in Belgium. He wasn't sure if they'd fit his Strat, or one of his other many projects.

Interesting you went for 8" for front and rear, what size tyres you planning to use for rallying if you dont mind me asking.
I went for 7" so I can use them for gravel tyres as well but could still get 225 on them if required but plan to use 205 most of the time

i don't intend to do gravel, so don't need the narrower tyres. I wanted to have wheels interchangeable front and rear. I'm currently fitting 225/45 rear and 205/50 front. Will use 200/585 & 220 585 when money allows!
Got charged £25 today to fit & balance 2 tyres. sponsorship arrangement needed soon for this!

Getting tyre fitted is an expensive buisness, on the speyside last year we needed tyres put on rims during the event and A Wood esq crew charged thirty quid for the two. We had even bought the tyres from them at a previous event.
Luckly my MOT man can fit tyres if I am not in a hurry :)
Have you ever weighed your wheels?

Its ok Chris, I had thought mine are very heavy at 9kg each without tyres, wondered if the 8's were much heavier. Thats all
