Are they still around? When was the last time they taxed?

You can find out at www.vehiclelicence.gov.uk provided you can remember the registration number and make. Strangely it doesn't recognise my plate with the registered details but no problems with the Alfa. A search of the missing plate in my sequence revealed that '1T was last taxed in September 1989 when I think it was exported. Engine size is listed as 2300, make Lancia which tells me that the car wasn't legally registered! Might have had a difficult time buying that plate! Checking the rest ofthe sequence reveals all bar '8T were around at sometime. I wonder if that's available?

Have fun and don't feel guilty if all your old runabouts have gone to the scrappie!

Well I guess that's one better than me! I suppose that's what happens when your current runaround celebrates it's 10th birthday on March 6th. I wonder if it's (original) battery will last that long? It's feeling a little lethargic these cold morning! A bit like it's owner!

That's an interesting one Guy. Thanks for that.

'Looks like my last Opel GT is still on the road, and it's still orange.

Well, my No.1 and No.3 cars are still around - I own them, and both are on the road. No idea what happened to No.2 and No.4 after I sold them to their new owners.

I don't think I have VIN numbers to do a similar search over here.
