Thanks for posting that. What's the distance between the mount and the back of the door panel. John?

The aluminium bracket/mount projects approximately 8 mm from the back of the door. You need to take into account the thickness of trim going on the inside face. This would dictate where the spoon would sit, then the handle needs shimming in or out to sit flush with the face of the spoon. Hope that isn't confusing. Anybody want pics or a template of the mount, send me mail. By the way, you only need to flex the tabs on the mount out a bit to make it sit closer.

I did a very similar thing on mine, except instead of riveting it to the door card, I glued it with polyurethane adhesive coz I'm not adding more trim to the panel.

I've had my door inners kicking about for ahem 15 years :D got just a few marks on em now. No option but to trim really. Pick them up tomorow as well so i'm a happy bunny. Pimping my ride soon! :cool:
