Do you think new ones are actually better value, because the secondhand ones don't often survive in good shape?

I've got probably six used ones spare. One option is to drill the rusted bolts out and stick a rivnut in. ;)

No idea Chris - they don't seem to come up second hand very often, so I bought mine new. Thought I'd post the price in case somebody got carried away on the bidding! :eek:

PS you also need the rubber gasket that seals against the bodywork. Check whether you're getting them too. There are 2 types - a flat (uniform thickness) one, which fits the strat, and a double-wedge (thicker at either end) shaped one which fits- something else :rolleyes: .
