My rear foglight rocker switch has become a lot less integrated than it should be.
Does anybody have a spare?

My rear fog hasn't worked since I bought the car and now it has to be Mot'd. Would anybody know the connections on the back of the switch-I have 3 wires going to the back 2 at the top and one at the bottom but not sure if any of them are correct in colour, position or how the switch is meant to operate-does it get a feed from the headlights being on or should it be totally independant?.

Any info would be a great help.

By the way, I've just completed the brake upgrade to Delta integrale/Thema turbo discs with Alfa 3.0 litre calipers, once successfully Mot'd I write a report for the mag with all the gory details!.

Cheers

Bob.

Bob - rear fog should have independent feed from fusebox to switch, live from switch to lamp, then earth from lamp to local earth point. Switch only needs these 2 wires.

I'm interested in your experience with the brakes what mastercylinder(s) +/- servo are you using?

Thanks for that Chris, I'm not sure what colour wires go to my switch, but wonder why I have 3 wires?!.
The brake set up is as suggested by Roger Donnan, who races with the same master cylinder as the original 132 set up(unless theres something he's neglected to tell me!). I did a quick pre-MOT run up the road and all seemed Ok. They did seem harder to lock up than previously but as they are brand new and not bedded in yet (plus the fronts were in my mind too easily locked anyway) I'll give a full verdict after I'm legally able to drive it far enough to give a proper go!.

Hi Guys
Try Chad at the Monte Hospital (http://www.montehospital.co.uk/) He sells a variety of new switches and surrounds. I think there was a link in the suppliers section too some time ago.

..PS reading the thread back, I think the rear fog may get it's feed from the lights so it will only work when they are on...it was a while ago but I'm sure thats how I had mine comnnected up.
cheers

Thanks for that, I'll have another look tonight - sub zero in a garage with no lights and head cranked under the dash board - can't wait!.

Nope - I run 164 calipers with the standard Fiat 128 mastercylinder/servo as on the original Transformer set up. I have no problem locking brakes!!! Although competition pads do help.

Thanks for the confirmation about the master cylinder Roger, I can rest easier now!. I did resolve the fog light issue, the third wire on my switch was for a warning light to let you know you still had tha fog light on.

Just the issue of hazards to get working now-a bunch of wires and a relay under the dash in a plastic bag when I picked the car up last year-another cold night under the dash beckons!

Thanks again for the help

Bob.
