There's a new DVD out covering this event. There is also one for the 1981 RAC. I've oredered the 1976 version and will post a review when it arrives!

Just ordered mine. I love the idea of tetro rallying, but I'm worried it might just be a misprint!

I got another DVD from the same group at Xmas, the 1974 and 1979 RAC's with Marlboro and Lancia England Strat's in - oh happy days!. Not brilliant on the digitally retouching (scratches and hairs abound!) but excellent all the same.

Not as impressed with this one as I was with the 74/79 DVD. There is only limited footage of the Chrquered Flag Stratos being driven to victory on the Mintex and even less of Munari on the RAC. Sound quality is good with little commentary over the great sound of the Stratos disappearing into the distance.
Great DVD if you love Escorts. Lots of Roger Clark hero worshipping! And some really annoying commentary about someone called 'Arry Kala.

3/10

Totally agree with your review Guy, I got my copy at the weekend. More footage of the '76 national championship than the RAC and a bit naughty that the behind the scenes look at the safari park stage is as long as the season and RAC film put together!.

Still waiting for a '75 and '77 RAC film, that should have plenty of Stratos coverage.

That would be Pentti Airikkala then Guy. The 1989 RAC winner in a Galant VR-4. 102 WRC points are not nothing you know ;)

Hmmmm..... think I knew that.. You just have listen to the commentary and lousy pronunciation! The call him 'Arry Kala so often it grates!

That reminds me, I've contacted Pentti and need to call back for a chat - he has a 'Stratos Story' to tell from his past and I thought it could make an interesting newsletter article.
