The second one is probably a copy of the Darniche DVD.

There is also this collection of Lancia DVDs

Not sure if any or all of those are dodgy copies or not.
This seller has also had the Stratos DVD for sale on its own (about a tenner, I think).

And another RAC video (sale ends this afternoon)

Yes They are!
Not that I'm going to get all stroppy about it, but do watch the descriptions. I had one from him recently described as Lancia Strato's - new footage and interviews, but was just a copy of the Darniche DVD. Should have perhaps seen it coming but do be aware.

cheers

Yes, he's a serial pirate - he can't make it too obvious in the description what it really is. i got caught out too - I've got 2 Darniche dvds one genuine, one pirate.

Got my Lombard 74 & 79 dvd this morning - looks genuine. Don't know when I'll get time to watch it though. Seems to be a bit of a flap on in the house at the moment, for some reason.

I ordered the 74 & 79 DVD on Thursday. There is also some Stratos footage on the 1980/1981 DVD. Spoke to the chap selling them on Friday and he plans to release more DVDs in the new year.

Cheers

Enjoyed the DVD this evening! More coverage of the 74 car than the 79 entry which surprised me. I didn't remember the Beta entry on the 74 rally either and there is some good footage of that as well as a Fiat 124 Abarth.
Quality is pretty good too. Not your average home movie stuff. Whole thing is 50 minutes long and concentrates, unsurprisingly, on Escorts.

Great stuff, superbly restored/preserved. I liked the comment "with a car more suitable for Le Mans than the forrest...." :D

Looks like there is more to come from this source judging by the following reply I had this evening.

Needless to say I'll respond to the advert request positively as any source of unseen footage is welcome!

Guy

Hi Guy,

Thank you very much for the positive comments on the DVD, it was also nice
to read the comments on your forum and I'm reassured to read that fellow
rally enthusiasts appreciate the footage that I've released after laying
around unseen for many years.
You will be pleased to know that there is another DVD due to be released
very shortly that features the Stratos from the 1976 RAC & British Rally
Championship - I've attached a few screenshots from the film as a taster!

Unfortunately I don't have any specific Marque DVDs as such and don't plan
to re-edit any of the footage as I want it to be released in it's original
form. You will note that there are many unscrupulous 'pirate' copies of
Rally programmes circulating on eBay though however I'm unsure of the
quality of these products. All of our footage has been carefully transferred
& digitised by an ITV studio at a significant cost.

You can purchase any of the Rally DVDs from our website
www.orchardtech.co.uk and all titles are free p&p - perhaps I could place an
article/ advert in you club magazine/ website about these DVDs?

Best regards

Chris Copeland

Not the Stratos, but a great short video for those on broadband - Ari Vatanen at Pikes Peak:

Guy - you may want to put details of Chris Copeland/Orchardtech into the 'Suppliers' forum.

Sounds like I may need to spend a bit more money on DVDs now. Still waiting for the Spa historic to come out though; nothing for the ego than seeing yourself on camera!

Regards and a Happy New Year to all,
John
