Shaun,
As I have a LHD kit I would be interested in the Smith heater fan. But, correct me if I'm wrong :o , should the outlet not be pointing to the right instead of the left, or is it possible to change that  .
In pictures of original cars the fan is mounted on the right side of the front bay and the outlet is at the top right side of the fan ( see attached picture ).
Best regards, Pim

On a Hawk LHD the position of the brake master cylinders requires the positioning of the spare wheel (if you're having a spare wheel?) towards the area where the blower would be on an original Stratos. It's actually easier to have the blower in the same position as an original would have it - on a RHD Hawk car, believe it or not?
If you're not having a spare wheel, it won't be a problem.

HI all , it is possible to swap the motor & outlet around as you sugested, also on later original cars the fan was mounted underneath the spare wheel, fed from a slim air intake under the grill, this helps get fresh air into the car, I think there is a picture of this on Tryphon,s car on a link he posted. Regards Mark.

Mark, there IS a photo (or link) of Tryphons air intake and I think I've got a photo of YOUR intake and central blower setup somewhere?

When I said lhd I was thinking more that the rhd brake cylinders and or servo were in the way. As Bas has already put a bid on the struts I'll split the parts, I think I have another smiths heater which is the other way round, make what you like with the two.
