Ok this is an old chestnut but has anyone had experience with the Leda Fully adjustable suspension kit - Fully adjustable front and rear struts ? Kit includes Eibach coil springs, spring seats, dirt shields and 'c' spanners. Found on Leda site (http://www.leda.com/shop/index.html?lang=en-uk&target=d1.html)
Any other option suggestions while I'm shopping around? Well it is coming up to Christmas and I want all the answers ready
"You're always hard to buy for" will be interesting this time round :D

A number of people use the Leda rear strut. It fits and it works, but I have no experience yet of fiddling!

Dunno - wouldn't want to buy these over the web though... Doesn't fill me with confidence when it states 'front and rear struts', as the front is a simpler coil-over unit.
I've got Leda struts at the rear and they are ok. Probably could do with a bit more damping these days, but that's because they will now be a bit tired. Adjustable seats are useful. I did get different spring seats made as the originals were quite a bit deeper than I wanted, and reduced thickness seats gave more scope for lowering the car.
I remember their first effort at Stratos replica struts was too stiff on rebound, with the result that the car would 'jack down' over a series of bumps or circuit corners. That did get resolved with a change in valving so that is nothing to worry about, just think again if you select 'race/rally/road' options when ordering.
The option of extra gas/fluid reservoirs may be good in theory, and look like a 'trick' part, but is entirely unwarranted for normal, or even fast, road use. Rallying would put more heat into the dampers, so this would be good for that application.
So, nothing against Leda struts - they seem to be strong enough, well made enough, have adjustable spring seats and damping (one setting only, for bump+rebound). Recommend them for road use? Most certainly.
For competition use it really depends on how much you want to spend (i.e. how fast do you want to go). I've spent as little as possible and done well enough with their offerings, as have others. It will always be possible to spend more, and to go faster...

Hi Allen
Make sure you know what spring lengths you want to sit above your rear tyres for your chosen ride height. If you are going to run wide GP4 rears you may need to have a shorter spring than they will send you to miss the tyre with the spring seat. (Guess how I know  ) Probably only applies with 345 tyres, but depends what wheel offsets you run too.
I bought my rear struts direct from Leda with no probs and sent them down the top mount I wanted them to fit as well. There was about an 8 week turn around though  so don't leave it too late to order!........(Guess how I know  )
cheers
