All systems go now. i'll be dropping off the small bits this weekend followed shortly by the front and rear body sections. The tub and chassis after that i think. looks like taking the next week or two off has been a good idea. Its been a long road so far! It will be great to start and bolt things on for the last time and watch it take shape. :) :)
I'm aiming for completion in march, perhaps there will be some trimming work still to be done later but as long as i can get it through Sva shortly after i'm not bothered. Hopefully i should have it reasonably sorted and reliable by the summer (Turin beckons!!!)

Mine was finished painting yesterday, and I visited today WOW :) :) :)
I'll trailer it home on Saturday, then the long home straight beckons. I reckon next summer sometime. Race you? ;)

Chris is keeping his cards close to his chest, me? Chardonnet blue. 1981 tour de corse (l'automobile) Things aren't quite authentic as i have round arch group 4 bodywork.I'm not a stickler for authenticity but i want it to look something like. Hey,whatever you do it will never be a real stratos, so what if the arches are wrong for the year. I like the colour scheme, the only thing i will modify is the blue and yellow stripe over the rear arches. it looks better if it follows the curve of the arch a little instead of running straight.
One problem... there is one Bernie already!! i'll have to think about that one.

No, I came out of the closet a while ago!
I can only attach a picture off the internet - I didn't have a camera when I visited today. I'll post proper ones on Saturday when it comes home.

This job should be done for Christmas as long as you get the parts delivered in time John. How is Santa going to fit all those panels on his sledge :D :D

This should be the best christmas since i was a nipper. i don't know about santa and his sleigh, its more like his articulated truck.
Mick, I will have the panels etc delivered when you need them. The little bits are nearly done. Final tail spoiler jobs in the morning then h/lamp pods in the afternoon. delivery after tea?
