It says £25.00 per metre in the special offers page.
Think I paid £8 per metre but that was a lucky 'one off' :D

Only the seats of the original Stradale are covered in Alcantara. The dash is covered by the famous mousehair fabric essentially composed of unobtainium.

do you mean moleskin? - they used to sell this so that plumbers could wipe joints on lead pipes!

When they were assembling the Stradales they used whatever material was laying around the FIAT group's warehouses. I have a feeling it din't cost as much back then...
The rest of the stuff (several tens of meters, hundreds maybe) was subsequently purchased by D. McCann who offered it on EBay some time ago at a very substantial price. I guess it was purchased by reoriginals afterwards as it didn't sell on EBay.
This material is very sought after by Daytona, 206/246 and Stratos owners hence the price...

I don't think I've ever really spotted the original material to be honest, but can see that for the originality it would certainly command such a price. One of those things that has to be right for the detail-concious.
The Alcantara that Martrim are selling looks like a decent deal. The black I used has a very thin foam layer, then a brushed nylon backing. Gave it good depth and shapes easily round tricky corners. Cost me £50/m. I have some single thickness charcoal stuff which isn't anywhere near as easy to work. Probably find it's the mysterious mousehair for all I know!
