Wow, what a list of videos.
Lancia Stratos DVD's (http://www.rallycars.com/Cars/Lancia/Stratos_Movies.html)

Double WOW!! What a price he's asking.

I'm sure these are very rare and not available else where but, I mean... Whoa! 88 Euros is over $125 CDN at today's rate. And that's not including shipping etc.

Can anyone recommend which videos would be the best to get if getting only one or two? Maybe several of the lesser ones as well.

Think I'll start dropping hints to the wife about Christmas gifts. I'm up for some good stuff this year as I was a really good boy. I bought her a brand new, (18 year old still in the crate) motorcycle that she is very, VERY happy with. :)

But I don't think she's 88 Euros times 4 plus some others at various prices happy.

Thomas asked me to put his video archives on my website. Although I agree that the prices might seem high please consider that he had to pay very high prices too to the original issuers to get them. Mostly to INA I think (www.ina.fr). I also don't think Thomas is making any money out of this.

Some footage is really great while some other is only destined to collectors and enthusiasts. All Monte footage is great. Up to you to make your choice.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I have no problem spending the wife's money. :D
And I have no doubt that most of the costs went towards paying for the rights to use the footage. I would also hope that Thomas is making a little for his effort. That way he'll be encouraged to continue.

Well that was really my point. As I can only afford a few I'd like to make sure I get the best ones. Those that have the most Stratos footage with good quality sound and video. How I love to hear the raspiness of those v6's.
Yes, I really don't see me sitting through 25 minutes of a Markku Alen Interview "without sound". That much of an enthusiast I'm not.

I was hoping that someone in this group would be able to give me some sense as to which ones contained the most Stratos content. Which ones had doggie sound, spotty video or sparse Stratos content.

I've fired off an email to Thomas as I'm due for some new vid's.
(I've about worn out my copy of the Bernard Darniche DVD, La Lancia Stratos.)
