What is your favourite Stratos livery?
I love them all, but my personal favourite is Darniche's Chardonnet/Motorac car.
Then, if I had to pick a second favourite, I couldn't - I like too many others in equal amounts.
I've listed most of the major liveries in the poll, so vote for your favourite.

Really couldn't make up my mind on this one. I personally like the Chequered flag livery a lot, but I think that the late Alitalia scheme best suits the car. It compliments the shape of the car nicely.

Hi David,
Interesting subject this one. Whilst I think the later 'Alitalia' is probably the most famous and evocative livery, my personal favourite is the Olio version.
No doubt we all have our reasons for each preference but I think this livery is certainly one of the most striking.
Cheers.

Hi Guys,
I have to agree with Mick, the Olio is defintely my favourite too.
It is, in my opinion, the most striking of the colour schemes. It is far less well known than the Alitalia, and therefore also compliments the rarity of the original cars.
It did cross my mind to paint my car in these colours, but already spiralling costs and destroyed timelines kept me to the solid colour.
Thats my contribution!

Bernard

Geez,
You just can't trust the colonials can you! Ungrateful bunch we are!
For the record, my two weeks around Europe in a Chardonnet painted Stratos at the hands of 'Bernard', was absolutely irreplaceable and left me with an appreciation for that paint scheme...and the enthusiasm it wipped up amongst the Italian public. With total sincerity too, I think that particular Stratos replica is one of the best looking I have seen!
It's just well.... that Olio Fiat paint scheme just has something special. Sorry Bernard, but you come a close second! In fact, just to show you how much I really do like that colour scheme, any time you want me to navigate around Europe for you, give me time to get organised (and rob a few banks) and I'll be there with helmet and Lire!
(Anyone else on here call me Edna and we'll leave the Commonwealth! :) )

I put a vote against the Olio paint scheme, which I think has a great balance between bold colours and a neat design.
The BIC one probably comes close. That style also provided some inspiration for the paint scheme on my car, with the white panels on the front wheelarch tops and the sections of colour. Of course, the overall scheme on my own car owes the most to the Gulf McLaren Le Mans cars, with all of these influences added to the mix.
So, can I vote for the colour scheme on my car?
even if it only gets the one vote
The Alitalia scheme does look great, but the familiarity with it lessens the impact - it's just too popular!
The Chardonnet scheme is perhaps my third choice, with one particular car we all know of looking exceptionally smart...

John,
I seriously thought about including your car as an option, as it is a very well known car, but then decided to restrict it to original Stratos livery only.
I like your paint scheme.
Ken Tomblin's Rothmans colour scheme is nice too, but very few people will ever have seen a picture of the original livery, so I left that out as well.
I also like Gary Lomas's paint scheme, as it is a "British Alitalia".
Roland Casebourne's car is also an interesting alternative.

Sounds like we need a poll for favorite member paint schemes....

Ok, we'll let this one run for another couple of weeks, and then we'll do a "Favourite Stratos Replica Livery" poll.

That sounds fair - my comment was only tongue-in-cheek anyway, as I think it best to keep the 'original' colour schemes separate from the replicas.
Ken's is certainly a rarely-recognised scheme from an original, and executed exceptionally well, but I guess comments on the other replica liveries should wait for the next poll.
All the best,

Well, a clear cut victory for the Alitalia livery with 12 votes.
I was a bit surprised by the populariry of the Olio livery over some of the others.
I will start a favourite Replica Stratos livery poll in the next few days.
The results:-
Alitalia (Late) 12
Olio 5
Marlboro 2
Chequered Flag 2
Pirelli 2
Alitalia (Early) 2
Chardonnet 1
Bic 0
Le Point 0
