What is the best battery to use, front mounted , to cope with v6, lamp pod etc plus do you have the dimensions so i can make me battery tray up without having to buy me battery yet.

It's the alternator that has to cope with the current drain of the lamp pod. I've used one of the sealed Red Top, the 25 i think. I've mounted it in the rear wing in front of the fuel tank (just behind the door catch) well out of the way and mounted in foam. Not as good for weight distribution as in the front I suppose, but still allows a spare wheel if required.

I thought that with the spare wheel having a reasonable dish in it that the top of the battery could stick up inside it a bit. It means a new mount for the spare though.

Depends on what size wheels your using. My 15 x 8" won't fit under the front. got an Alfa space saver off ebay for a fiver. The Redtop is a much smaller battery than a conventional one. These sealed ones can safely go in the passenger compartment though. Jerry Bailey has his behind the drivers seat, and that got past for his MSA logbook....
