Yes the stradale seats are still available. They are about an inch wider than the Italians made them because Gerry has a bigger erm, market in the UK. According to the price list they are £900 plus the dreaded VAT and carriage for a pair!
You asked!

Panos - how could you even begin to think such a thing! ;)
Next on Gerrys list is a smaller diameter steering wheel. :D
By the way, you ought to see the seat frames themselves before they are trimmed! They are a work of art that would put some chassis desigeners to shame, it's almost a pity to cover them.

Thanks Guy. You're right, I DID ask!, and you're right about the original seats being narrow. I know 'cos I sat in one. I don't know which type of person Betone modelled them on?
Yes Chris, proper comp seats ARE expensive aren't they? The £900 +vat doesn't seem quite so bad compared.
It's a bit like the coffin spokes. They seem a bit pricey, but when you look at the price of some of the large diameter regular mass produced alloys, they're in a similar league.
I doubt a bulk order of Bertone seats would help with the price?...not likely?

Sorry - I got the name wrong..mine are Sparco Milano II. Designed for the more refined posterior :)
Still bloomin' expensive though.
I wonder if Gerry's seats would fit a Corse chassis?? Always liked the style personally.
My personal justification for spending so much on seats was that for the car I wanted, the seats form a large part of the interior and I wanted them to look nice and be comfortable. Not the same criteria as some other folk, I freely acknowledge and always a personal judgement.

I've just fitted a pair of alcantara seats from a Noble that i got from Chris Smith. They look great, but are not as comfy as my old Motordrive buckets.
Still, it is much easer getting in and out now.
Fancy getting the dash and doors retrimmed to match now :D
Cheers
