Just thought I'd say a BIG hello to everyone, I've just joined the site and over the next few years I plan to live one of my dreams by finally getting around to building a Hawk HF3000. I know it's not gonna be easy but with determination and a bitta help(well maybe alot of help)lol. I'm sure I'll get there.
Thanks to Guy for giving me a little of his time at Harrogate and well done Guy for a great example of something we all love.
Hope to be speaking to alot more of you very soon.
Cheers again AndyD.

Any time now really to start getting some of the smaller bits, been keeping my eye's open for any good 164 Donor's alreay but nothing really suitable in last month or so. But there's no rush.
Gonna get moving house out of the way 1st then really start cracking on. So I would say realistically early next year, then the Kit purchase more towards middle of next year.
All the best for your's I've been viewing the forum for a few weeks now and hope it comes back from the spray shop how you want it.
Cheers :)

Read the post, If youv'e got the readies it may work out quicker and cheaper( thats if you were going to rebuild your motor) I had a quote of £2000.00 this week for a 166 3.0v6 and box. Around 230 bhp? which was four plus years old.

Need to think about choice of motor carefully if you are contemplating competing in rallies. 3litre 24 valves may have a problem in the near future not to say kit cars.
Welcome on board, you only get one shot so live the dream its only money :)

Hi, Andy welcome to the forum, I'm not too far from you in Warrington if you need any help advice, during your build. There are lots of unknowns ahead for you - definately worth talking to as many owners as possible.
Good luck with your dream!

Thanks everyone, I'll be looking at every option within reason. And yes at the time I'm gonna be doing it all the help and advice will be well received. Who better than the people who have done it to learn from thats what I say.
As for the motor I won't be rallying it be more for pleasure and the occasional Trackday and O if it turns out nice, I reckon we may just take it to the odd show. But hey thats getting a bit ahead of myself right now.
And Dave that could be a bad thing being so close..lol. No only kidding will be good to know support is never far from the forum.
Have you a complete replica then Dave or you part built?

Not sure if these things really ever get completed, mine for instance keeps on being altered and modified after being "completed" in 1992 - Car has been laid up for several years due to lenghty conversion to Alfa V6 and group4 bodywork.
Please feel free to pop over one weekend to have a look around it if you like.

Want to make this an unofficial get together Dave? It's been a while! Might drag Austin along in an attempt to get him working on his again!

Sounds good to me Guy, it would be interesting to see what changes have happened since we all last met, yours does look good from the pictures. It would be good to see you both again too.
My car is not on the road just yet, is Austin's?, so how do people feel about meeting up at mine - new address in Burtonwood?, plenty of space for parking.
Any suggestions for when? I'm at home - off work next week.
Dave
