Stratos to rally!

Just heard form a client and apparently there's some info in Motorsport News that Steve Petch of Hyundai Wrc fame and Vodka Kick fortune, has bought TWO genuine Stratoses and has entered the Roger Albert Clark rally in November!.
Went on this last year and it was the best event for years. Cant wait now!.

He was trying to buy one a couple of years ago to do historic rallying, instead of using his Porsche, but then he bought the Hyundai instead.

He is a member of this forum, and might keep us informed of events.

I also thought he was a local guy John. I suspect, however that I am getting confused with Steve Perez. I seem to think he is fairly local to us and has competed in rallies under the Vodka Kick banner.
Mind you, if I'm wrong I can blame my age and poor memory. :rolleyes:

I was talking about Steve Perez being a member of the forum. I must of read the original post too quickly and thought it was Steve Perez that was being taked about.

Stev Petch (of Bishop Auckland, as mentioned earlier) used to rally the Hyundai WRC in the ANCRO Championship and BRC, but has lately being responsible for preparation of Hyundai WRCs for Paul Bird and Steve Perez.

Steve Perez is the owner of Vodka Kick, and previously did historic rallying in a Porsche 911 prepared by XS Racing, before trying his hand in the BRC (British Rally Championship) in a Hyundai WRC.

So is it Steve Petch or Steve Perez who is reported to have purchased the 2 Stratos?

My ex apprentice, is a friend of the son of the owner or one of the owners of vk. Who i believe lives just a couple of miles south west of chesterfield.(could be bullshit! he might not know the lad at all) Chesterfield area is where vk started i believe.

see motoring(sport) news this week. It is a bit vague about whether it is a genuine car or not though??????????

I hope Steve does keep us up to date on whats happening..
He will have a big ready made supporters club!

Yep, I've just had it confirmed that it is Steve Perez that is planning a Stratos drive on the R.A.C. rally this year.

So there will be at least one to see (and hear).

His Porsche would be a better bet, but hats off to him for providing some variety.
