Hi everyone, as promised , some pictures of the car following it's debut at Harrogate this weekend. Chris Richards has seen it so I'll leave judgement up to him....
The car isn't quite finished yet, there are a few decals missing and the new lamp pods need some work and paint before they can go onto the car. All this ought to be done before Donnington in October.
The show itself was very wet on Saturday which affected the turnout quite badly. The halls didn't seem to have the same numbers of manufacturers as in previous years or the quality. Gerrys stand had two ally 289s and an ally 427 as well as my car. I honestly don't think anyone else came close but watch totalkitcar.com for the review in full later this week.
There were a few good potential customers, mainly Sunday, and one poor sod with a £50,000 budget looking for a turnkey Cobra who fell for Gerrys 289 FIA only to be sent away for another £20k...... I reckon he'll be back next year! Three or four potential Stratos customers as well. Two had already bought donor 164s and a third was selling his race prepped MX5 after todays race at Cadwell Park to order the kit at the end of September.
All in all, a good weekend for Gerry.
Journey across to Harrogate on Friday wasn't fun with a fatal TRA onthe M6 causing a big holdup followed by downpours on the A59. At least the car is properly weatherproofed now! Nothing coming in under the raingutters! The journey home tonight was a joy! A59 was pretty clear and no holdups.
Hope you all like the piccys!
