Just wanted to say that I hope all our members, friends & family in England are Ok after the terrorist attacks today. Sadly some people are not Ok and even if we don't know them, they and their relations deserve our sympathies.

I was nowhere near thankfully.

The radios are claiming that people are going to work as usual, but having just been out along the A40, I would dispute that. Normally it's clogged with traffic at 8:30 on a morning - today it was as empty as 8:30 on a Sunday morning.

I had to go in to London for a Friday meeting - certainly a different attitude around at the time, but the best commute I've ever known! Plenty of spare seats on the train. Luckily I only need the Waterloo and City line, plus a walk at the other end, so did not go anywhere near to the incidents or the closed stations. Would much rather have not gone in that day, which - unsurprisingly - is the decision taken by many others due for the meeting.

General view is to try and work towards 'business as usual', but there are endless reminders of the loss and trauma which cannot/will not be ignored.
