Well, when someone tells you that you need 5 Meters to trim the floor of the Stratos, including the bulkhead you'd better beleive them! Gerry told me at Stoneleigh and I'd have thought that was enough to do the boot as well.......
I have a few scraps left over from my 5 meters and the boot carpet hasn't been redone........... Close thing! And if I didnt have the sloping bulkhead I'd allow an extra meter.

What type of carpet have you used and where from?

Believe it, I assure you its right. I bought 8 metre to do mine including the boot, thought I'd have plenty and haven't got much left. It surprised me just how much the tunnel took by the time it was cut, jointed and edged.
It is worth it though. The last thing you need is to run out on the last panel. :)

John,
Got mine from a local carpet mill that did a line in Black. Not particular common in domestic stores for obvious reasons. Felt backed, Wool/nylon blend. Nice plush pile to it and lays easily. Christine also said it sews well when she was doing the edge trimming :D :D
Together with the Underlay felt, edging and adhesive, I spent around £90.
Good value in my book.

Got it at Stoneleigh, paid about £14/M for a Wilton (roll was about 2M wide) with reasonble short pile on a rubber (?) backing. It cuts easily and doesn't show the backing when folded to a tight angle. I know a rally rep shouldn't be carpeted but if you saw the state of the floorpan you'd want to hide it or repaint it! Plus painting would have meant remaking the fiberglass footwell panels in ally...so I chose to hide it! No underfelt this time though! As for the supplier.... paid cash, no invoice so I can't help there unless you have a Stoneleigh show guide that shows which traders were where and trust my memory! Come to think of it, that might not be a bad thing as the boot is still trimmed in red!
