Just a quick note about the AutoItalia yesterday which was bathed in superb weather !!! not bad for September.
I only turned up on Race day (sunday)
People attending in Stratos replicas were :-
Paul and Ian Hassell, Ken Tombalin, Phil Dolby, Kevin Brown and
Panos.
racing on the track was very entertaining and loud with the Euro Boss cars(ex F1 , Indycar and F3000) .
The Scott Racing Stratos started its race last (reverse grid) and there were about 20 - 25 cars lined up when the flag dropped it roared off overtaking 5 cars down the straight and about another 5 going round the first corner (Redgate) before being nugded off by another car destroying the rear wheel in the process, the performance was extremely impressive even though it didnt complete one lap ! The car ran a 3000 V6 Alfa with throttle bodies and according to one of the mechanics gives out 280 BHP....if you read this Rut i bet you cant wait for your throttle bodies !!
