Just finished assembly of the front suspension, steering rack, hubs and brakes, but as a check before proceeding, does any one know of the camber I should expect with the thing off the ground(no wheels). I am aiming for about 1/2 to 1 degree negative on the ground. I have a pretty accurate camber gauge which clamps to the hub so I can measure ok,couldn't find a thread on this. Thanks in anticipation that some one will know David

Camber would normally be set when the car is on it's wheels at normal ride height and with 'normal' load. Knowing some triganometry and all the necessary, some dimensions it is possible to calculate camber at any point from full droop to full bump, but it is not 'back of a fag packet' stuff as you have to calculate the arc of the top wishbone and that of the lower arm relative to each other at any given position of the upright.

Thanks Martin,My trig. is long forgotten so I think I'll wait until I get it on the ground and just put up with having to half dismantle to adjust it, as its bound to be wrong first time.David

Don't wory at all about it now David. You'll be frightened just how much things 'bed-in' on the first bumps. Just accept that for the first few miles it will be all over the road then sort it properly. I wasted hours on the alignment bench before I thrashed it and it all changed again!
