For a little light humour, what is the strangest thing fitted to your strat. Mine has some odds and ends from an old washing machine, some ally tube from an old crutch(might be one of C R's old castoffs!), my engine trolley had its castors from a hospital bed, and i'm ashamed to say that it was still in use just before i stole it.I have some nice medigas stainless tube on stock too.
Can anybody better these? :D :D

More like one of JR's! :D
There was a similar thread a couple of years ago (link (http://www.stratossupersite.com/forum/showthread.php?t=989&highlight=mouse) ) which turned up a number of weird and wonderful components, but I'm sure some more have been added since!
I've got a bright purple surgical glove waterproofing an electrical connector in my engine compartment.

Tennis balls stuck between door and tub, just by the hinge to keep doors open - copied from a car once for sale so is probably common.
Engine trolley made from a cut down bed frame pinched from the gite, I did have to buy the wheels.
Alternater taken from an Italien tractor and if thing carry on the way they are, the heater/demister system. Only problem is that this requires an alternater just on it's own. Imagine that, twin overhead alternaters.

I made a heater duct mould out of sainsbury's carrier bags stuffed inside each other and expanding foam - very effective for complex shapes - just trim to size afterwards.
My bonnet catch rubbers are from old expansion joints from the A12 - saw them by the road and cut a short length off.

Latest addition is a model jet plane turbine, electrical one that is. The 7.2v motor sounds like a jet with 12v going thru it so a bulb is in series until something more complicated is dreamed up. I tried a landrover fan, too big I tried a pc fan, too weak but this turbine - well it had to be done and its a perfect 80mm diameter to fit the hole in the bulkhead.
What next?

I cut up a pair of welly Boots to use as gaskets. (on the body work only, before anyone asks.)
