Is there a suitable internal door handle that doesn't cost a fortune.

Early Lada handles are similar, found in most of the 70/80s 124 type ladas

Fiat 850 SPIDER inner door handles are the same as the Lamborghini Miura and Lancia Stratos.......
Try lookingon Ebay for anyone selling 850 Spider parts and firing off a question to them. They may not be perfect condition but you can get them rechromed!

I have a set of these handles but my backing plates are stamped stainless steel. I can't remember what car the backing plates came from. Anyone care to remind me?

Thanks,

John B.

Will the handles etc clean/polish up ok?

Let me know what you want for the pair plus packaging and shipping and how you would like the payment made.

I live in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, UK.

Sorry - didn't mean to give the impression that mine were for sale. I was trying to remember which car models had the stamped stainless backing plates so I could advise you where to look for them.

Urraco 250 (single cam earlier type) had them.

I don't know if they had stainless bits?

'Not many in our local scrapyard though.

John,

I thought the stainless steel bits also came out of an 850 Spyder. The little spoon shaped trim piece, right? They're attached to the door card.

Yes - the spoon shaped backing piece. Thanks for the info - I just thought the stainless ones were nice.

Sorry I don't have any spares to offer.

I got a set from Jeff Davison. He had at least 3 sets at the time but it was quite a while back...

...and Jeff, if you see this, I still owe you for them - I haven't forgotten!!
