The bottom corners come too far back to fit a stratos.

Something I would suggest, if not trimming the dash panel on the Stratos, either get it flock-sprayed, or at least spray-paint it matt black.
If not, you'll get some serious reflections in the windscreen whenever the sun is out. And it would look better if not in the original GRP leather-look finish in any case.

Most of it would nearly fit though, especially the front edge as the car uses a Hawk HF windscreen. But you knew that?
Yes John,
shiny dashboards are always a bit of a problem on sunny days.
There seems to be a trend these days to have dashboard tops flock sprayed on rally prepped Imprezas and Evos etc.

Have I got my instruments mounted too far forwards or does everybody have that 'head-up-display' effect at night?

There ought to be a lip on the top of the instrument binnacle, a couple of inches deep. Gerry had to bring the instruments forward in the binnacle as teh 124 coupe gauges are long cased and they fouled the cross member behind..... This led to reflections!

Anybody any experience of DIY flocking (steady! :p ) as advertised by kitcar merchants? Is it easy to use? Easy to get a decent finish? Longlasting or falls apart in months?

Hi Chris, a company in Birmingham (Qualplast)did my door panels and they've stood up really well to abuse. The only areas showing bald patches (apart from the top of me 'ed) are the top edges of the door bins - only to be expected really.
They apparently do all the glove box linings for Jaguar.

Thing is , I don't fancy taking the dash out and sending it away, idf the DIY stuff doesn't cut the mustard, I'll probably go for matt paint.
